
H.E. President Robert Mugabe

Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation. Hon. Membe
leads the SADC Observer Team to monitor Zimbabwe’s referendum on the new
Constitution, on behalf of H.E. President Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete,
President of the United Republic of Tanzania who is also the Chairperson
of the SADC Organ on Politics, Defence and Security Cooperation.

of Observer upon their arrival at the Zimbabwe State House to pay a
courtesy visit. Hon. Membe (2nd right), Team Leader, had previously
quoted saying that, “this Constitutional referendum scheduled for today,
16 March 2013, clearly demonstrates movement from signed declarations
into tangible results to the benefit of the Zimbabwean citizens.
Furthermore, the referendum will ensure the inclusion of the political
stakeholders indicating a major milestone towards the realisation of a
