Visiting
Tanzanian pop star Diamond, is arguably the highest paid artiste in the
region, currently. The singer’s performance rate card has shot up
following his growing popularity and demand.
According
to our research, the Nataka Kulewa singer has been taking home about
Sh1.8 million from his monthly weekend shows, not to mention the cash he
is getting from endorsements and sales of his merchandise. (I believe
the figure is in Kenyan Shillings since the source is a Kenyan website,
but I’m not sure)
His recent show in Rwanda got him a half a
million, while another concert in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC)
held in the same month got him a similar amount.
“He is doing
well. Our new rate card is informed by the demand he is attracting as a
top East African star,” his manager told Pulse on Wednesday. Source: Pulse
